Multi Skilled Commercial Gas Engineer - Glasgow - Salary up to £47,000 DOE

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Multi-Skilled Commercial Gas Engineer to join a well-established facilities management and building services team. This is an excellent opportunity to work across a varied portfolio of commercial properties, carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM), reactive repairs and minor installation works.

The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring building services are maintained to the highest standards, delivering a professional service while maintaining compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on commercial gas systems.
  • Service, maintain and repair commercial boilers, heating systems and associated plant equipment.
  • Diagnose faults and carry out effective repairs to minimise downtime.
  • Complete minor installation and replacement works as required.
  • Undertake basic plumbing and mechanical maintenance duties where required.
  • Carry out inspections and ensure all work complies with current legislation and industry standards.
  • Complete all required documentation accurately using electronic or paper-based systems.
  • Liaise professionally with clients, site contacts and colleagues to provide excellent customer service.
  • Participate in an on-call rota where required.
  • Ensure all work is completed safely and in accordance with company policies and Health & Safety regulations.

About You:

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Previous experience working as a Commercial Gas Engineer within facilities management, building services or a similar environment.
  • Valid Commercial Gas qualifications (CODNCO1, CIGA1, ICPN1, TPCP1A or equivalent).
  • Experience servicing and maintaining commercial boilers and heating systems.
  • Good fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
  • Basic plumbing and mechanical maintenance experience.
  • A strong understanding of Health & Safety procedures.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • The ability to work independently and manage workloads effectively.
  • A full UK driving licence.

Desirable:

  • LPG qualifications.
  • Domestic Gas qualifications.
  • F-Gas certification.
  • 18th Edition.
  • Electrical knowledge or additional building services experience.
  • Experience working within schools, healthcare, retail or commercial buildings.
