Electrical Bias Multi-Skilled Technician
Location: Bridlington, East Yorkshire
Contract: Full Time, Permanent
Join Our PPP-IML Team
We are looking for an experienced Electrical Bias Multi-Skilled Technician to join our PPP-IML facilities management team in Bridlington.
This is a varied and rewarding role for a qualified electrical technician who enjoys a hands-on environment and takes pride in delivering high standards of maintenance, compliance, and customer service. Working across a busy education estate, you will be responsible for keeping buildings safe, compliant, and fully operational through a combination of planned preventative maintenance and reactive repairs.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance activities.
- Undertake electrical fault finding, repairs, and general building maintenance.
- Complete statutory inspections, compliance checks, and maintenance records.
- Maintain lighting systems, electrical services, and associated plant and equipment.
- Conduct meter readings and monitor building services performance.
- Support minor plumbing, decorating, fabric repairs, and general maintenance tasks.
- Manage contractors on site, including inductions and permit-to-work requirements.
- Support security procedures including alarm systems, lock-up duties, and emergency call-outs.
- Keyholder responsibilities.
- Ensure all works are completed safely and in accordance with company and client procedures.
Essential
What We're Looking For
- ✅ 18th Edition Electrical Qualification
- ✅ Electrical maintenance experience within commercial or public sector environments
- ✅ Strong fault-finding and repair skills
- ✅ Experience carrying out planned and reactive maintenance
- ✅ Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
- ✅ Good communication and customer service skills
- ✅ Commitment to health, safety, and compliance standards

Desirable
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Electrical Installation or Maintenance
- Facilities Management experience
- Experience working within schools, healthcare, or public sector environments
- Multi-skilled maintenance experience across building fabric and M&E services
- Previous experience supervising contractors or supporting site teams
