Multi-Skilled Shift Maintenance Engineer

Salary: Competitive + Welcome Bonus + Bonus Scheme
Shift Pattern: 4 on / 4 off, rotating days and nights (overtime available)
Commutable from: Boston, Skegness, Spalding, Sleaford, Louth

Our client is a well-established, family-owned FMCG manufacturing business based near Boston, Lincolnshire. Following a significant multi-million-pound investment in their site and equipment, they're looking to add an experienced Multi-Skilled Shift Maintenance Engineer to their engineering team.

The Role

  • Carry out planned and reactive maintenance across a wide range of machinery, including conveying systems, product detection equipment, packaging lines, extruders and mixers, gas-fired ovens, mill equipment, and steam boilers with associated pipework and valves
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot breakdowns, minimising downtime and ensuring quick resolution
  • Work collaboratively with production teams to optimise equipment performance
  • Contribute to ongoing improvement projects as part of ongoing investment in the facility
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records via a CMMS system and ensure compliance with health & safety standards

What We're Looking For

  • A recognised engineering qualification, with multi-skilled experience across both electrical and mechanical maintenance
  • Experience with conveying systems, product detection, and packaging machinery, ideally within an FMCG environment
  • A collaborative, team-focused approach suited to a shift-based environment
  • Willingness to work a 4 on / 4 off rotating shift pattern (days and nights)
  • A proactive, hands-on approach with strong problem-solving skills
