We are recruiting an experienced Maintenance Engineer to join a busy manufacturing environment. The role will focus on planned and reactive maintenance, fault finding, equipment reliability, and facilities maintenance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out planned, preventive, and reactive maintenance.
  • Diagnose electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic faults.
  • Support machinery breakdowns and minimise production downtime.
  • Use the CMMS system to record maintenance activities.
  • Support continuous improvement and reliability programmes.
  • Fault-find on electrical systems, drives, and controls.
  • Carry out basic PLC fault finding.
  • Read electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic drawings.
  • Support facility maintenance and engineering projects.
  • Maintain high standards of health and safety.

Requirements

  • Recognised Electrical/Mechanical Maintenance Apprenticeship.
  • 5+ years' relevant maintenance experience.
  • Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills.
  • Knowledge of drives and controls; Siemens PLC experience advantageous.
  • Ability to use workshop machinery, including lathe and milling machine.
  • 18th Edition desirable.
  • HNC/ONC or equivalent advantageous.
  • Strong problem-solving and teamwork skills.
  • Shift: 12-hour rotating day shifts
