Job Title – Multi-Skilled Engineer
Location – Corby, Northamptonshire
Salary – £60,500 (including 10% shift allowance)
Shift – Rotating shifts (Days, Lates, Nights) + On-call rota (1 week in 4)
Job Role of the Multi-Skilled Engineer
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Multi-Skilled Engineer to join a leading international bakery ingredients manufacturer operating as part of a highly respected global food group. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer who enjoys working in a fast-paced, highly automated environment with strong opportunities for development and long-term progression.
You will be working within a team of experienced engineers while reporting into the Senior Engineer. In this role, you will be responsible for carrying out both planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance across a large, multi-floor production facility. You will be expected to work independently for approximately 70–80% of the time.

The site operates 9 production lines and manufactures and packs dry bakery ingredients using a range of automated systems including dosing screws (SCADA controlled), transfer systems, weighing scales, metal detectors, compressors, boilers, and extraction systems.
Sector – Manufacturing
Non-Negotiable Requirements of the Multi-Skilled Engineer
- Minimum Level 2 Electrical Engineering Qualification
- Experience in food, pharma, or process manufacturing environments
Desirable Requirements for the Multi-Skilled Engineer
- 4+ years' experience in food manufacturing or similar FMCG/process industry
- Experience working on SCADA-controlled systems
- Strong multi-skilled engineering background with exposure to continuous improvement
- Experience working on large-scale automated production sites
