At CBRE Global Workplace Solutions
At CBRE Global Workplace Solutions, we partner with world-leading brands to create workplace environments that foster innovation, reliability, and excellence. We are currently recruiting an exceptional Multi-Skilled Engineer to join our team on-site with one of the globe's most prominent technology innovators at their flagship Central London campus.
This is not a tick-box maintenance role. Operating within a high-density, critical tech environment, you will be given the autonomy to take ownership of site infrastructure, troubleshoot complex plant issues, and make decisive engineering calls in real time. If you thrive in agile, fast-paced workplaces where your technical judgment directly safeguards critical operations, this role is built for you.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead planned preventative maintenance (PPM), reactive repairs, and statutory compliance tasks across complex M&E infrastructure with minimal direct supervision.
- Act as the first line of defence for critical systems incidents; diagnose root causes rapidly and execute safe, pragmatic solutions to prevent operational downtime.
- Engage directly with client stakeholders and workplace teams, communicating technical issues and project updates with clarity, professionalism, and commercial awareness.
- Issue Permits to Work, review RAMS, conduct dynamic risk assessments, and supervise specialist third-party vendors delivering lifecycle works.
- Proactively identify energy-saving initiatives, plant life-cycle improvements, and process optimisations to maintain world-class site standards.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
