Multi Skilled HVAC Engineer – Central Belt – Salary up to 46,000 DOE

Our client is a well–established engineering and building services provider with an excellent reputation for delivering high–quality maintenance solutions across a wide range of commercial and industrial properties.

Due to continued growth, they are looking to recruit an experienced Multi–Skilled Air Conditioning Engineer to join their expanding team. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer who enjoys a varied role, combining specialist HVAC work with general building services maintenance.

Working across a diverse portfolio of sites, you'll be responsible for planned preventative maintenance, reactive repairs, fault finding and minor mechanical and electrical works, ensuring facilities remain safe, compliant and fully operational.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on commercial air conditioning and HVAC systems.
  • Respond to reactive breakdowns, diagnose faults and complete repairs efficiently.
  • Service, maintain and repair VRV/VRF, split, multi–split and ventilation systems.
  • Undertake fault finding on HVAC controls and associated mechanical equipment.
  • Carry out minor mechanical and electrical maintenance across commercial buildings.
  • Complete general building services tasks, including pumps, motors, pipework, valves and basic electrical works.
  • Identify and report remedial works, providing effective solutions where appropriate.
  • Accurately complete service reports and maintenance documentation.
  • Ensure all work is completed in line with health and safety legislation and company procedures.
  • Build strong working relationships with clients by delivering a professional and reliable service.
  • Participate in the out–of–hours call–out rota when required.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
