Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Multi Skilled Maintenance role. The role involves carrying out planned and reactive maintenance tasks across healthcare premises, ensuring building systems, equipment, and facilities are safe, reliable, and compliant. Day-to-day responsibilities include inspecting and servicing equipment, performing repairs, diagnosing faults, and completing preventive maintenance activities in line with schedules and regulatory standards.

The Multi Skilled Maintenance professional will contribute to continuous improvement of maintenance processes and support refurbishment or small works projects as required.

Qualifications

  • Candidates should possess strong skills in Equipment Maintenance and Maintenance & Repair to ensure reliable operation of building systems and healthcare-related assets.
  • Candidates should possess proven experience in Preventive Maintenance and Maintenance to support planned servicing, reduce downtime, and extend equipment life cycles.
  • Candidates should possess effective Troubleshooting skills to diagnose technical issues quickly and implement safe, practical solutions.
  • Relevant technical qualification or apprenticeship in building services, mechanical, electrical, or facilities maintenance (e.g., NVQ/City & Guilds or equivalent).
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations, safe systems of work, and compliance standards for healthcare environments.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, maintenance schedules, and basic schematics, with strong attention to detail and record-keeping.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and respond flexibly to changing site needs.
  • Previous experience in healthcare, commercial property, or facilities management environments is beneficial; a valid UK driving licence and willingness to travel locally between sites is an essential.
