About the Role

We’re looking for an experienced Mobile Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to support a portfolio of high-profile client sites across London.

This is a genuinely mobile role, with regular travel between locations across Central London, Stratford and White City, carrying out planned and reactive maintenance and ensuring our clients' buildings and assets remain safe, compliant and operating effectively.

You'll work across a varied range of commercial environments, taking ownership of day-to-day maintenance while being supported by experienced Account Managers, dedicated Contract Support and our wider engineering team.

Importantly, there is no out-of-hours callout rota attached to this position.

Your Sites

You'll work across a defined portfolio of London locations, with the majority of your regular visits concentrated in Central London.

Your schedule will include:

  • Regent Street – weekly
  • Great Marlborough Street / Soho – weekly
  • Holborn – regular site support
  • Westfield Stratford – monthly
  • Westfield White City – monthly

Travel between client sites is a core part of the position, so you'll need to be comfortable working across multiple locations and managing your time effectively.

What You'll Be Doing

You'll be responsible for both planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance, including:

  • Carrying out planned and reactive M&E maintenance across client sites
  • Maintaining mechanical and electrical building systems and associated equipment
  • Diagnosing faults and completing repairs within your area of competency
  • Responding to BMS alarms and using building systems for first-line diagnostics
  • Supporting the operation and maintenance of HVAC and associated plant
  • Carrying out minor installations and remedial works
  • Completing statutory and compliance-related maintenance
  • Maintaining plant rooms and ensuring equipment is operating safely and effectively
  • Completing maintenance records, service reports and compliance documentation
  • Recording completed PPM activity using simPRO, including photographic evidence where required
  • Maintaining accurate site logbooks covering electrical, mechanical, water and Health & Safety requirements
  • Identifying and escalating potential hazards or issues affecting essential plant and services
  • Highlighting any statutory PPM that cannot be completed within the required timescale
  • Supervising specialist subcontractors attending site and monitoring the quality of completed works
  • Keeping Contract Managers and Contract Support updated on the progress of works
  • Communicating planned maintenance and potential disruption clearly to clients and building users
  • Delivering a professional, customer-focused service across every location you support

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

What We're Looking For

You'll need previous experience within Building Services, M&E maintenance or Facilities Management, with a recognised trade background.

We're looking for an engineer who is comfortable working independently across multiple client sites but also knows when specialist support is required.

Essential

  • Previous Building Services/M&E maintenance experience
  • A relevant City & Guilds Level 2/3 or equivalent trade qualification in an electrical or mechanical discipline
  • Strong planned and reactive maintenance experience
  • Good fault-finding and problem-solving ability
  • Knowledge of commercial building-services systems
  • Good understanding of Health & Safety and safe working practices
  • Strong communication and customer-service skills
  • Ability to organise and prioritise your own workload
  • Comfortable travelling regularly between London client sites

Depending on Your Trade Background

For electrically qualified engineers, relevant qualifications may include:

  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
  • City & Guilds 2391 Level 3 Inspection & Testing

For mechanically qualified engineers, relevant building-services qualifications and experience will be considered.

Desirable

  • Ventilation systems

  • ACOP L8 / water hygiene
  • High Voltage systems where relevant to your electrical background

You don't need to hold every desirable qualification. We're looking for a strong building-services engineer with the right core skills and experience.

Support Around You

Although you'll spend much of your working week independently across client sites, you won't be working in isolation.

You'll have support from two experienced Account Managers, alongside dedicated Contract Support operating across the accounts.

You'll also have access to our wider engineering team for technical support and knowledge sharing, as well as the Regional Directors responsible for the accounts.

This gives you the independence of a mobile engineering role while still having an established operational and technical team behind you.

No Callout Rota

Unlike many mobile FM engineering positions, this role does not participate in an out-of-hours callout rota.

There may occasionally be opportunities or requirements for overtime during evenings, weekends or public holidays depending on client requirements, but there is no regular on-call commitment.

Why Join Us?

This is a great opportunity if you enjoy the variety of mobile engineering but want a defined London portfolio and strong support around you.

You'll benefit from:

  • A varied portfolio of high-profile London environments
  • A defined schedule of regular client locations
  • No callout rota
  • Experienced Account Manager support
  • Dedicated Contract Support
  • Access to a wider engineering team
  • Exposure to a broad range of M&E and building-services systems
  • The opportunity to work independently and take ownership of your sites

If you're an experienced M&E or Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer who enjoys working across different environments and delivering a great service to clients, we'd love to hear from you.
