Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer (Electrical Bias)
Location: Thatcham, Berkshire
Salary: £52,000 + Overtime
Shift Pattern: Rotating 3 Shift Pattern
Monday – Thursday:
- 06:00 – 14:00
- 14:00 – 22:00
- 22:00 – 06:00
Friday:
- 06:00 – 11:30
- 11:30 – 17:00
- 17:00 – 22:30
Job Role of the Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer with an electrical bias to join a well-established international manufacturing business. This site forms part of a global organisation with significant investment across its operations and a strong commitment to employee development. With succession planning a key focus, this role offers genuine opportunities for long-term progression into specialist engineering positions.
The successful engineer will be responsible for carrying out both reactive and planned maintenance across a range of packaging manufacturing equipment, ensuring maximum reliability, efficiency, and performance throughout the site.

Non-Negotiable Requirements of the Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer
- Electrical qualification (Level 3 minimum)
- Experience working within a manufacturing environment
Desirable Requirements for the Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer
- PLC fault finding experience (Siemens S5/S7, Allen Bradley RSLogix 500)
- Machinery on Site
- Corrugators
- Flexo-folder gluers
- Flat bed die cutters
- Boilers
- Strappers and wrappers
- Roller and flat bed conveyors
