About The Role

We’re looking for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team in Liverpool. In your role will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing and improving critical manufacturing and utility systems within a GMP environment. The role has a particular focus on pressurised systems (Black steam, clean steam, compressed air), refrigeration plant (Chilled water, ACU’s), HVAC systems, and associated cGMP utilities that support product quality, environmental control and operational reliability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance and reactive repairs on manufacturing equipment, mechanical systems and critical site utilities.
  • Complete scheduled maintenance activities within required compliance timescales.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot HVAC systems supporting cleanrooms, laboratories and production areas.
  • Maintain steam systems and associated distribution networks.
  • Support the maintenance of site utilities, including low-temperature hot water, compressed air, chilled water, pre-treated water and effluent treatment systems.
  • Maintain critical GMP utility systems, including Cold Water for Injection (CWFI) and pure steam systems.
  • Diagnose mechanical faults and carry out repairs to minimise equipment downtime and operational disruption.
  • Support HVAC qualification, validation and requalification activities.
  • Raise, manage and complete maintenance work orders using the Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
  • Complete all maintenance records accurately and at the time the work is carried out, in line with GMP requirements.
  • Manage specialist contractors and equipment vendors, including reviewing risk assessments and method statements and issuing permits to work.
  • Ensure all engineering activities comply with GMP, GDP, health and safety requirements and company procedures.
  • Support engineering investigations, deviations, corrective and preventive actions, change controls and audits.
  • Interpret P&ID drawings and other engineering drawings and schematics.
  • Monitor and operate Building Management Systems and PLC-controlled process utility systems.
  • Participate in the 24-hour engineering and facilities on-call rota, acting as the first point of contact for site issues for one week in every five.
  • Work collaboratively with Engineering, Facilities, Manufacturing and Quality teams to maintain safe, reliable and compliant site operations.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
