Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer
ROLE DETAILS
- Salary: £53,000 per annum + Enhanced overtime
- Location: Bristol
- Contract: Full Time, Permanent
- Hours: 6am - 6pm / 6pm - 6am - Rotating Days & Nights (7 days off every 3 weeks & 2 Weekends off a month)
ABOUT THE ROLE
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dedicated and professional engineering team within a well-established, large-scale food production business in Bristol. You will be part of a team committed to maintaining high standards of performance, safety, and quality across a busy manufacturing site.
YOUR DUTIES
- Perform planned, preventative, and reactive maintenance to ensure optimal line performance
- Diagnose and resolve breakdowns efficiently to minimise downtime
- Maintain product safety and quality by adhering to GMP and hygienic engineering standards
- Promote sustainability and efficiency through responsible resource use and process improvements
- Ensure systems remain compliant, audit-ready, and aligned with regulatory and industry standards
- Accurately document all maintenance activities in the CMMS and communicate effectively during shift handovers
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and root cause analysis to enhance reliability and performance
- Support team development by sharing expertise and mentoring apprentices

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Experience in a similar role - Engineering Shift Technician, Maintenance Engineer, or equivalent
- Relevant industry qualification, e.g. NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Previous experience in a food manufacturing environment is beneficial but not essential
