Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer
Location: Newton Aycliffe
Salary: £41,500 per annum
Shift Pattern: 3 Shift Rotation (Monday-Friday)
The Role
A leading manufacturing business based in Newton Aycliffe is looking to recruit a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join its established engineering team. This is an excellent opportunity for an electrically or mechanically biased engineer who enjoys working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, carrying out both reactive and planned maintenance to ensure maximum machine uptime.
Responsibilities
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM).
- Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns and minimize downtime.
- Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults.
- Work on continuous improvement projects to increase reliability and efficiency.
- Ensure all maintenance work is completed safely and in line with company procedures.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records using the CMMS system.
- Support production to maximize plant performance.

Requirements
- Recognised Engineering Apprenticeship or Engineering Qualification (NVQ Level 3/C&G or equivalent).
- Multi-skilled with electrical and mechanical maintenance experience.
- Previous experience within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
- PLC fault-finding experience would be advantageous.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
