We’re looking for a proactive Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our Engineering team at our Fells site in Lennoxtown.

This is a hands-on role where you’ll help keep our production lines running safely and efficiently. You’ll support planned maintenance, respond to breakdowns, carry out fault finding and contribute to improvement activity across the site. Working closely with Engineering and Operations colleagues, you’ll play an important part in improving equipment reliability, reducing downtime and maintaining high standards of safety, quality and performance.

The role follows a rotational 3-week day and night shift pattern, working 07:45–20:00 / 19:45–08:00. This includes 2 weeks of dayshift, working 7 shifts over 14 days, followed by 1 week of nightshift on a 4-on, 3-off basis.

What you’ll do

  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance and reactive maintenance across production equipment.
  • Diagnose faults and take effective corrective action to reduce downtime.
  • Support production teams to improve equipment performance, line efficiency and reliability.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and engineering improvement projects.
  • Work safely and follow site procedures, risk assessments and safe systems of work.
  • Help maintain high standards of GMP, food safety, product quality and workshop compliance.
  • Support other Highland Spring Group sites when required.

What we’re looking for

  • A time-served engineer with strong mechanical maintenance experience.
  • Good fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in a manufacturing, FMCG, food or drink production environment would be beneficial.
  • A practical, organised approach with the ability to prioritise your workload.
  • Someone who can work confidently on their own initiative and as part of a team.
  • Basic IT skills, including email, Word and Excel.
  • A full UK driving licence.
