Due to continued growth and the award of several new long-term contracts, we are seeking an experienced Maintenance Multi-Skilled Operative to join our Southampton team, covering the SO, PO, SP, BH, and RG postcode areas.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys variety in their work, takes pride in high-quality workmanship, and wants long-term career security with a well-established employer.
The Role
No two days are the same.
You will undertake a variety of reactive maintenance repairs, planned preventative maintenance, and small project works across our client portfolio. Typical works may include:
- General building repairs
- Carpentry and joinery
- Door and lock repairs
- Kitchen repairs and installations
- Minor plumbing works
- Tiling and decorating
- Flooring repairs
- Ceiling and partition repairs
- Roofing repairs
- Basic drainage works
- External building maintenance
- Insurance reinstatement works
- Planned refurbishment projects
- Health & safety compliance works

What We're Looking For
Essential:
- Multi-skilled trade background
- Experience carrying out reactive maintenance and planned works
- Excellent customer service skills
- Good communication and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work independently and manage your own workload
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Good understanding of Health & Safety requirements
- Experience using handheld devices or mobile job management systems
- Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship
- Positive "can-do" attitude
Desirable:
- Carpentry qualification
- Plumbing experience
- Decorating skills
- Roofing repair experience
- Facilities Management experience
- Insurance reinstatement experience
- IPAF, PASMA, or relevant trade qualifications
