£45,000
We are currently recruiting for a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a busy food manufacturing site in Merthyr Tydfil.
The role will provide hands on maintenance support across a fast paced production environment, ensuring machinery and equipment remain safe, reliable and operational.
The successful candidate will be multi skilled, with a strong electrical and/or mechanical background, and have previous experience working within a manufacturing environment. Food or meat processing experience would be advantageous.

Key Responsibilities
- Carry out planned and reactive maintenance across the site
- Diagnose and fault find electrical and mechanical issues
- Minimise production downtime through effective fault finding and repairs
- Work with PLC controlled machinery and automated equipment
- Support continuous improvement and reliability initiatives
- Ensure maintenance activities are completed safely and in line with company procedures
The Candidate
- Multi Skilled Engineering apprenticeship
- Electrical and/or Mechanical qualification
- Previous manufacturing maintenance experience
- Strong electrical and mechanical fault finding skills
- PLC experience would be advantageous
- Experience within food or meat manufacturing would be beneficial
- Proactive, hands on approach with the ability to work independently
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Comfortable working a 4 on, 4 off shift pattern covering both days and nights
