The role requires a strong electrical and controls bias, combined with competent mechanical maintenance skills, and offers the opportunity to work on a wide range of automated production equipment and site services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance activities across manufacturing and production equipment.
  • Diagnose and repair electrical, controls, automation, and mechanical faults.
  • Fault find using PLCs, HMIs, electrical testing equipment, instrumentation, and diagnostic tools.
  • Work on motors, drives, sensors, encoders, safety circuits, control systems, and automation equipment.
  • Support machinery upgrades, modifications, and continuous improvement projects.
  • Carry out mechanical maintenance including bearings, chains, belts, gearboxes, couplings, alignment, and guarding.
  • Complete inspections, testing, calibration checks, and safety verifications.
  • Support site utilities and facilities maintenance including compressors, boilers, chillers, fire systems, and associated infrastructure.
  • Assist with equipment commissioning, installation projects, and machine improvements.

  • Participate in shift handovers and communicate effectively with production and engineering teams.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
