Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer
Thurmaston
Earlies/Lates/Nights – 5 shift rotation (Earlies/Lates/Earlies/Lates/Nights – only 3 nights every 10 week)
£48,000 including Shift Allowance + 5% Contributory Pension + Paid Overtime + 31 Days Holiday incl stats + Health Cash Plan + Sick Pay
Our client is a successful independent British manufacturer of bespoke consumer goods for use within various industries including building merchants, aerospace, and general industrial consumables.
They have a solid history dating back over half a century and have a very well-respected name in this varied and complex environment with customer satisfaction being their top priority. They now require a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join their modest but mighty team.
Role overview:
The Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer will work collaboratively with the maintenance team across their 2 closely situated manufacturing sites ensuring all automated equipment on site is kept operational and as productive as possible. Your responsibilities will include:

- Reactive maintenance
- Planned maintenance
- Continuous improvement projects
- Completing all relevant documentation
- Working to H&S standards
Machinery will include Extruders, Coating lines, Conveyor systems, Cutting and packaging lines.
The candidate:
The successful Multi-Skilled Maintenance will have the following:
- A relevant level 3 engineering qualification
- Experience fault finding within a manufacturing environment both electrically and mechanically
- The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings – schematics, hydraulic and pneumatic
