Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer

Location: Corby, Northamptonshire
Salary: £50,000 - £62,000
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Shift Pattern: Continentals

The Opportunity

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a highly automated manufacturing in Corby.
This is an excellent opportunity for an apprentice-trained engineer with strong electrical and mechanical maintenance experience to work within a modern, automated FMCG warehouse environment.
You will play a key role in maintaining highly automated equipment, responding to breakdowns and supporting the ongoing reliability and efficiency of the site.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out planned and reactive maintenance across highly automated warehouse and production equipment.
  • Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults quickly and effectively.
  • Support breakdown response to minimise downtime.
  • Carry out preventative maintenance and contribute to improving equipment reliability.
  • Fault-find on automated systems and associated electrical/mechanical equipment.
  • Work safely and follow site engineering and health & safety procedures.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives across the engineering function.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and completed work.

About You

The successful candidate will ideally have:

  • NVQ Level 3 in Multi-Skilled Engineering or Electrical Engineering, or an equivalent qualification.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar maintenance engineering role.
  • An apprentice-trained engineering background.
  • Previous experience working within an FMCG automated warehouse or highly automated manufacturing environment.
  • Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills.
  • The ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • A proactive approach to preventative maintenance and continuous improvement.
