Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer
Location: Telford
Job Type: Permanent
Salary: Circa £40,000 - £50,000
Working Hours: Monday - Friday (earlies or day shift available)
A well-established Telford manufacturer is seeking an experienced Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join its growing maintenance function. The business is investing in its engineering team and is looking for an engineer with strong fault-finding abilities and a good mix of mechanical and electrical maintenance skills.
This role offers varied work across a wide range of production equipment and systems in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
The Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for:
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM), electrical and mechanical fault finding, repairs and breakdown response across a wide range of manufacturing machinery and production equipment.
- Conduct root cause analysis to identify recurring issues and implement effective corrective actions to improve reliability and minimise downtime.
- Support the installation, commissioning, testing and relocation of equipment across the manufacturing facility.
- Work on a variety of equipment including CNC turret punches, forming and bending machinery, spinning lathes, foam insulation machines, MIG, TIG and laser welding equipment, testing equipment, effluent treatment systems, and hydraulic and pneumatic equipment.
- Support continuous improvement, reliability and engineering projects aimed at enhancing operational performance and production efficiency.
- Ensure equipment operates safely and efficiently while contributing to health, safety, environmental and compliance initiatives across the site.
- Accurately record maintenance activities and completed work through the company's maintenance management and reporting systems.

Skills and Experience
- Multi-skilled maintenance experience within manufacturing
- Strong electrical fault-finding capability
- Experience working with production machinery and automated equipment
- Knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics
- A proactive approach to maintenance and continuous improvement
- Good IT skills and experience using maintenance management systems
