We're growing our Facilities & Maintenance Team and are looking for a proactive, skilled, and reliable Multi-Skilled Maintenance Operative to help keep our award-winning care home safe, compliant, and operating at its very best.

About The Role
As our Multi-Skilled Maintenance Operative, you'll play a key role in ensuring Astley View remains a safe, welcoming and well-maintained environment for residents, visitors and colleagues.
No two days are the same. You'll be involved in everything from planned preventative maintenance and reactive repairs to refurbishment projects and compliance checks.

What You'll Be Doing
Planned & Reactive Maintenance
- Complete daily, weekly and monthly planned preventative maintenance (PPM) tasks.
- Respond quickly and effectively to maintenance requests.
- Diagnose faults and carry out repairs across a variety of systems and equipment.
- Help ensure buildings, fixtures and facilities remain fully operational.
Multi-Trade Repairs & Improvements
- Carry out general maintenance and repair work across multiple disciplines.
- Undertake decorating, minor refurbishment and improvement projects.
- Complete basic electrical, plumbing, joinery and building fabric repairs.
- Install and maintain fixtures, fittings and equipment as required.
Health, Safety & Compliance
- Conduct routine health and safety inspections.
- Complete fire safety checks and associated record keeping.
- Identify maintenance risks and implement corrective actions.
- Support compliance with statutory and company requirements.
Contractor & Operational Support
- Assist with contractor inductions and site coordination.
- Work collaboratively with managers and operational teams.
- Support maintenance requirements across other locations when required.
- Help maintain a safe, positive and professional environment throughout the service.
What We're Looking For
We're interested in practical, adaptable individuals who have experience across a range of maintenance disciplines and enjoy solving problems.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Experience carrying out maintenance work across multiple trades.
- Knowledge of areas such as:
- Basic electrical repairs
- Plumbing
- Joinery
- Building fabric maintenance
- Grounds maintenance
- General property upkeep
- Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
- Strong problem-solving and fault-finding skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Full willingness to travel between sites when required.

Desirable
- Experience working within care homes, healthcare settings, housing, education, hospitality or facilities management.
- Evidence of ongoing professional development, training or qualifications.
- A desire to continue developing your multi-trade skills.
- Understanding of compliance, health and safety, and building maintenance standards.
