Joiner - Multi-Skilled Operative
We are hiring a Joiner - Multi-Skilled Operative at Target Housing to join our Maintenance team.
Location: Rotherham, S60 1BY
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent (39 hours per week)

Target delivers the highest standard of housing and support to enable vulnerable people to live independently, fulfil their potential and contribute to their communities and wider society.
Main Purpose
To maintain the properties within the Target portfolio to a high standard. To carry out planned, reactive and emergency repairs as and when required within agreed timescales.
Specific Tasks & Responsibilities
- Work independently on task lists
- Maintenance and repair work for buildings and facilities
- Completing joinery, such as but not limited to: studwork, roofing joinery, hanging doors, skirting boards, architraves and installing kitchens
- Basic plumbing tasks
- Assist and liaise with external contractors and others as necessary
- Undertake emergency jobs (e.g. reacting to the impact of weather conditions on buildings and grounds)
- Be involved with building and maintenance work, when required, to alter or create workspaces suitable for the needs of the business
- Maintenance of buildings and offices to comply with current legislation
- Attend team meetings, supervisions, and training as directed
- To understand and comply with Health and Safety regulations
- Undertake any other duties as required to meet the needs of the organisation

Person Specification
- Able to work on your own initiative as well as part of a team
- You will demonstrate good aptitude for ‘hands on’ work and the use of hand tools
- Good communication skills with the ability to follow instructions
- You have a positive ‘can do’ attitude, with adaptability to change and varying work priorities
- You will have excellent reliability & flexibility as a team member, committed to excellent levels of punctuality and attendance
- You will be a high-quality installer/fitter/joiner
- A full driving licence is essential
- An awareness of Health & Safety working practices
