Salary up to £39,646.94 per annum, plus, company van & fuel card
42.5 hours per week (8-5 Monday- Friday)
About the role:
We are looking for a skilled and reliable Multi-Skilled Operative to join our team, supporting a busy voids repairs and maintenance contract in Leeds. This is a hands-on role focused on preparing empty social housing properties to a safe, high-quality, lettable standard, helping residents move into homes that are ready first time.
You will work across a range of void properties, carrying out end-to-end repairs and refurbishment works across multiple trades. This role offers strong workload stability and the opportunity to take pride in delivering properties back to clients efficiently and to a consistently high standard.

Duties:
- Carry out day-to-day repairs and maintenance across void social housing properties
- Replace and repair skirting boards, architraves, and internal door frames
- Install and adjust kitchen units, worktops, and cupboard doors
- Repair or replace internal doors, handles, locks, and hinges
- Identify and repair minor plumbing issues including leaks, dripping taps, and blocked sinks
- Carry out patch plastering and make good damaged walls and ceilings
- Complete wall and floor tiling repairs, including grouting and sealing
- Undertake painting and decorating to a professional finish as part of void refurbishment works
- Ensure all work is completed to specification and quality standards before handover
- Report any additional works or defects identified during inspections
- Accurately record job details, materials used, and completion notes using handheld devices or job sheets
- Maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicle in good working order
- Manage workload efficiently to meet void turnaround targets and service level agreements

Role Criteria:
- Proven experience in domestic repairs and maintenance across multiple trades (e.g. carpentry, plumbing, plastering, tiling, decorating)
- Full UK driving licence
- Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- Excellent customer service skills, with experience working in occupied homes
- Good understanding of health and safety regulations and safe working practices
- Ability to use handheld devices or job management systems to record work
- Willingness to participate in out-of-hours emergency rota
