Annual salary: up to £36,050.00

Multi Skilled Operative

Location: Cambridge/Cottenham

Contract: Permanent, Full Time, 42.5 Hours Per Week

Salary: £36,050 per annum, company van and fuel card provided, overtime available with enhanced rates, out of hours rota participation required.

About the Role

This is a hands-on role requiring a versatile individual who can carry out a range of trade activities including carpentry, plumbing, tiling, decorating, and general maintenance works. You will work both independently and alongside colleagues to ensure properties are maintained to a high standard, with a particular focus on damp and mould remediation.

As a Multi Skilled Operative, you will carry out a variety of maintenance, repair, and disrepair works across residential properties, ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.

Duties

  • Painting and decorating works
  • Groundworks and general maintenance repairs
  • Plumbing repairs and installations
  • Wall and floor tiling, including patch and full re-tiling works
  • Carpentry repairs and installations
  • Damp and mould treatment works
  • Guttering repairs and maintenance
  • Removing and refitting units to access and clear mould affected areas
  • Working as part of an out of hours rota
  • Providing excellent customer service while working in occupied properties

Key Criteria

  • Demonstrable experience in three or more trades including, plumbing, carpentry, joinery, plastering, roofing, bricklaying, damp proof coursing, tiling, or glazing
  • Previous social housing experience
  • Full UK manual driving licence essential
  • Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively
  • Own basic tools including drills and essential hand tools
  • Ability to work in damp and mould environments
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
