Multi-Skilled Operative

FM Conway is currently recruiting for a Multi-Skilled Operative to ensure the smooth operation and upkeep of our facilities. As our Multi-Skilled Operative you will carry out a wide range of maintenance and repair tasks including but not limited to carpentry, finishing, general building and external works. This is a permanent, full-time position based from our head office in Sevenoaks, Kent.

Duties

The duties of the Multi-Skilled Operative role will include:

  • Responding promptly to reactive maintenance requests and effectively diagnose faults
  • Completing planned maintenance works in accordance with schedules, specifications, and compliance requirements
  • Supporting the wider facilities team in maintaining other building systems such as HVAC, electrical and mechanical when required
  • Completing general building repairs including minor carpentry, painting, fittings and flooring tasks
  • Maintaining accurate records of completed carpentry and maintenance work in line with company procedures
  • Identifying and reporting any safety concerns or potential hazards related to water systems and leaks
  • Working with the wider maintenance team on larger renovation or improvement projects

Skills and Experience

You will have experience in carpentry maintenance and repair within commercial or industrial environments, along with a good understanding of other basic building systems. An NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Carpentry or City and Guilds in Carpentry is desirable. You must have a full UK driving licence and be confident using mobile devices to complete tasks.
