We’re recruiting for a Multi‑Skilled Operative to join our growing team at our Hayes site. This role is reporting to the Site Manager, where you’ll play a key role in the smooth, safe, and efficient running of the plant.
This is a varied, hands‑on role where you’ll operate both mobile and fixed plant, support stock and weighbridge operations, work on the rail, and contribute to the production of high‑quality asphalt for our customers.
You’ll be part of a supportive team working to tight deadlines to ensure on‑time, high‑quality delivery.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Operating Mobile & Fixed Plant — including loading shovels, 360 excavators, and asphalt mixing equipment
- Running the Weighbridge — ensuring accurate, efficient processing, supporting production
- Targets — working closely with the Supervisor to meet daily/weekly goals
- Maintaining Safety Standards — following all SHE policies and ensuring plant safety compliance
- Conducting Plant Inspections — identifying defects and taking corrective action
- Maximising Plant Availability — keeping operations running smoothly
- Maintaining Site Housekeeping — ensuring a clean, safe working environment

What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for someone who brings enthusiasm, reliability, and a willingness to learn.
You’ll thrive here if you have:
- A Desire to Learn — especially around mobile and fixed plant operations
- Strong timekeeping and flexibility
- Clear communication skills
- Attention to detail in a fast‑paced environment
- Basic IT knowledge, Microsoft programs, SAP
Desirable (but not essential):
- Experience in asphalt or quarry operations
- Mobile plant qualifications
- Previous asphalt mixing experience
