About The Role
Based in Newcastle upon Tyne, this permanent, full-time Multi-Skilled Operative role covers sites from Berwick to North Yorkshire. Working 40 hours per week, the successful candidate will carry out maintenance and construction tasks for clients including police authorities, the NHS, universities and councils. Applicants should be experienced and reliable, with practical skills across trades such as joinery, plumbing, plastering or general building work. A full UK driving licence is likely to be required given the travel involved. The position pays £17.00 per hour, equivalent to £35,360 per annum. Joining a growing maintenance and construction company, the postholder will work on varied projects within a supportive team.

Key Duties
- Carrying out general property maintenance and repair works
- Undertaking a range of trade tasks including joinery, plumbing, plastering, painting and decorating, tiling, and general building work
- Completing both reactive maintenance works and planned project work to a high standard across a variety of sites
- Ensuring all work is carried out safely and professionally
- Maintaining excellent customer service when working in occupied properties
Candidate Requirement
- Proven experience as a multi-skilled operative or in a similar role
- Competence across multiple trades
- Full UK driving licence
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and manage workloads effectively
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
