Who is New England Seafood International?
New England Seafood International (NESI) was established in 1991 and is an importer and processor of premium fresh and frozen sustainable fish and seafood. NESI employs circa 850 people across three sites in the UK and imports a wide range of wild and farmed fish and shellfish from all around the world. We are part of the Sealaska Corporation, an Alaska Native corporation formed in 1971 and which is owned by 26,000 Tlingit, Haida and Tsimshian shareholders, who are all bloodline descendants of the first settlers to the Americas.

Title: Multiskilled Operative
Reports to: Area Manager
Location: Chessington, Surrey KT9 1TW
Salary: Day shift £26,298.25 - £30,804.35 or Night shift £28,827.70 - £33,333.80 per annum
Shift pattern: 4 on 4 off
Hours: Day shift 7:00am - 7:00pm or Night shift 7:00pm – 7:00am

We are currently in the search of full time permanent Food Production Operatives to join our team. You will be working with a great team who are fun and supported by leaders who themselves have grown through the business and are waiting to pass on their knowledge and expertise! Immediate start available for the right candidates.
Accountabilities of the role?
- Set up machines (calibration, cleaning, start up checks etc.) to start a production cycle
- Control and adjust machine settings (e.g. speed)
- Feed raw material or parts to semi-automated machines
- Loading products into trays and bags as per customer specifications
- Preparing finished products ready for despatch and deliveries
- Ensuring all products and packaging are correctly labelled
- Adding cardboard sleeves to packed products.
- Ensure all stock being loaded or unloaded matches the relevant paperwork / load plan.
- Maintaining a safe, clean and tidy working environment
- Manual Handling Equipment in a safe and timely manner.

What experiences, knowledge and capabilities do I need to demonstrate?
To be successful in this role you don’t require any previous experience, just a willingness to learn, progress and help the team.
Required:
- Ability to commute to site based in Chessington KT9 1TW
- Good communication skills
- Ability to read, write and speak English is a must
- Willingness to learn
- Good team player
