Multi Trade Operative – RAF Fairford & RAF Welford

Contract & Location
- Contract: 12-Month Fixed Term (with potential to become permanent)
- Location: Primary site: RAF Fairford; travel required to RAF Welford
- Salary: £32,000 – £35,000 per annum
- Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday (8:00am – 4:30pm)
The Role
Are you a skilled Multi Trade Operative looking for a purpose-driven career?
At VIVO, we support the UK’s Defence infrastructure, ensuring military personnel can live, work and train in safe, reliable environments. We’re seeking a motivated and versatile operative to join our team at RAF Fairford and RAF Welford.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out reactive maintenance, repairs, and minor works across RAF Fairford and RAF Welford.
- Provide plumbing, electrical, plumbing, mechanical maintenance, plastering, and general building repairs.
- Adapt quickly to emergency callouts and evolving workloads.
- Support storekeeping and yard duties to maintain site efficiency.
- Operate using a digital workload management system for scheduling, progress tracking, and record-keeping.
- Collaborate with colleagues and the engineering team to deliver exceptional service.

What We’re Looking For
You’ll need:
- Practical experience in maintenance, facilities, construction, or housing.
- No strict qualification requirement — preference for hands-on skill, strong references, and a proven track record.
- Health & Safety awareness, including knowledge of COSHH and RIDDOR.
- Problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage workloads independently.
- A full UK driving licence and the ability to obtain Security Clearance (SC).
- Reliable, punctual, and self-motivated.
