Multi Skilled Production Operator Opportunity - NeoNext+ Energy

Join our offshore operations team and play a key role in maximizing oil and gas production while maintaining the highest standards of safety, environmental responsibility, and asset integrity. Reporting to the Production Supervisor, the Production Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient day-to-day operation of offshore process plant systems. You will contribute to production performance, support maintenance activities, and ensure compliance with legislative requirements, company procedures, and operational standards.

At the heart of this role is a strong commitment to the health, safety and wellbeing of personnel, the protection of the environment, and the integrity of the asset.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate and monitor production and process systems safely and efficiently from the Central Control Room (with approval) or local control panels.
  • Respond appropriately to plant alarms, process upsets and abnormal operating conditions.
  • Carry out duties detailed in emergency response procedures, station bills and as directed by the Offshore Installation Manager (OIM).
  • Complete verification and preventative maintenance activities on production equipment, where required.
  • Perform first-line maintenance and support fault-finding and root cause investigations on production systems.
  • Prepare equipment and process systems for intrusive maintenance activities, ensuring safe isolation standards are maintained.
  • Act as an Area Operator and Isolating Authority within the Permit to Work and Control of Work systems.
  • Conduct plant inspections and authorised leak testing (following competency approval), ensuring systems are safe for return to service.
  • Maintain accurate operational logs, records and equipment performance data, escalating issues when operating parameters fall outside acceptable limits.
  • Support well testing activities and ensure accurate recording of well test data.
  • Carry out process sampling and assist in monitoring chemical injection rates, stock levels and tank inventories.
  • Monitor plant condition and housekeeping standards, ensuring a safe and efficient working environment at all times.
  • Build positive working relationships across operations, maintenance and support teams to drive operational excellence.
  • Participate in the company's Competence Assurance Scheme, completing training and assessments required for the role.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
