Job Description

How You Will Contribute

  • Maintaining Excellence: Executing planned and preventative maintenance (PPM) across diverse mechanical systems, including steam generation, within our cutting-edge facility.
  • Rapid Response: Prioritising and swiftly resolving breakdowns to minimise downtime, applying expert fault finding and Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
  • Ensuring Safety & Quality: Adhering rigorously to LOTO, RAMS, and all safety protocols, while upholding impeccable hygienic engineering and food safety standards.
  • Driving Improvement: Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives, LEAN methodologies, and reliability-focused projects to boost equipment performance.
  • Technical Expertise: Utilizing your skills in mechanical fabrication, welding, and interpreting complex mechanical drawings.
  • Team Collaboration: Working seamlessly within a dedicated engineering team, contributing to KPIs and potentially providing guidance as a team leader.
  • CMMS Proficiency: Accurately reporting all activities and managing tasks within our Computerized Maintenance Management System.

Who We're Looking For

  • Qualified Professional: A time-served engineer with an NVQ/BTEC Level 3 (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering.
  • FMCG Experience: Proven industrial engineering background, ideally within the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) sector, particularly food manufacturing.
  • Multi-Skilled Mindset: While our current focus is electrical, you'll be a keen problem-solver comfortable working with mechanical engineers across varied plant equipment.
  • Safety Champion: A deep understanding and commitment to industrial safety standards.
  • Problem Solver: Exceptional diagnostic and decision-making abilities.
  • Team Player: Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively.
