Role Overview
Are you a qualified trade looking for a role where your skills make a difference? We're on the lookout for a Multi Skilled Trade Operative (internally known as Multi Trade Operative) to join our Empty Homes team working across the Tees Valley.
As part of our in-house team, you’ll carry out a range of repairs and refurbishment works, helping us transform empty properties into quality homes, ready for customers.
If you have NVQ Level 3 in your base trade and experience in at least one other trade, we want to hear from you.

- You'll have the opportunity to join our callout rota, which attracts a premium payment for being on standby, additional pay for each callout (up to 1 hour), plus overtime pay.

Key Responsibilities
- Support our Empty Homes team to prepare empty properties to the highest standards, ensuring they are ready for new customers quickly and efficiently.
- Carry out a wide range of repairs connected with your specialist trade and your secondary trade skills.
- Deliver a fantastic service focused on high-quality work and ‘right first time’ completion.
- Jobs are planned for you by our Work Planners so you can concentrate on carrying out works to a high standard.
- You'll have a fixed shift pattern of 8.30am to 4.30pm Monday to Thursday and 8.30am to 4pm on Fridays in summer. In the winter, these hours will be 8am to 4pm Monday to Thursday and 8.30am to 3.30pm on Fridays.
- We'll provide you with a company van, fuel card, tools and any PPE you'll need for the role.

About You
- You’ll have an NVQ Level 3 in your main trade, plus experience in other trade areas e.g. joinery, plumbing, plastering/tiling, brickwork, decorating, fencing, roofing or drainage.
- We’re particularly interested in hearing from candidates with Joinery or Plumbing as your main trade.
- You must have a full, manual UK driving licence.
- Comfortable using digital devices or be willing to learn. We use mobile and hand-held devices to allocate jobs and for you to record your completion of work.
- A strong commitment to safe working practices and a good grasp of health and safety regulations.
