Multi-Skilled Tradesperson

JH Contracts Ltd – Tamworth
Salary: £30,000–£35,000 per year depending on experience
Company Vehicle + Fuel Card
22 Days Holiday + Bank Holidays

JH Contracts Ltd is looking for an experienced and reliable Multi-Skilled Tradesperson to join our growing team.

We are a Tamworth-based property maintenance and refurbishment contractor working across a range of sectors throughout the Midlands and beyond.

A significant part of our current workload is within social housing repairs, maintenance and remedial works, so experience within this sector would be particularly beneficial. However, our work is varied and also includes new-build housing aftercare, defect and remedial works, refurbishment projects and commercial fit-outs.

Although we are based in Tamworth, this is a mobile role and travel to different sites and customer properties will be required.

The Role

You will carry out a wide range of repairs, maintenance and finishing works across occupied and void social housing properties, new-build developments and commercial projects.

Typical works may include:

  • Carpentry and general joinery
  • Kitchen and bathroom repairs
  • Plumbing repairs and replacements
  • Patch plastering and making good
  • Wall and floor tiling
  • Painting and decorating
  • Door, frame, skirting and architrave repairs
  • Flooring repairs
  • Silicone and mastic works
  • Minor brickwork and external repairs
  • General property maintenance
  • New-build defect and snagging works
  • Remedial works following inspections
  • Refurbishment and commercial fit-out works
  • Diagnosing defects and completing suitable repairs
  • Making good following other trades

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
