Key Integrated Services - Tradespeople Wanted

Key Integrated Services is looking for experienced multi-skilled tradespeople based in the North East of England. The role will involve carrying out general building works, joinery and tiling across operational and high-compliance environments, including Defence and Justice sites, while maintaining high standards of safety, quality and workmanship. You will work as part of the wider delivery team, supporting projects safely.

Location: North East England – Northumberland, Tyne and Wear, Teesside & North Yorkshire

Contract Type: Permanent

Salary: Competitive rate of pay

Job Objectives

You will work as part of the KEYIS delivery team, carrying out a range of trade and general building activities across client sites throughout the North East.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out general building works, joinery and tiling as required
  • Complete minor works, repairs and associated site activities
  • Deliver work safely and to the required quality standard
  • Follow site-specific health, safety and security procedures
  • Work effectively alongside Site Managers, other trades and subcontractors
  • Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment
  • Use tools, equipment and materials appropriately
  • Report progress, issues or additional works to the Site Manager
  • Work professionally within operational client environments
  • Travel between client sites across the region as required

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Proven experience within general building works, joinery, tiling or a related trade
  • Relevant trade skills and demonstrable site experience
  • Good understanding of site health and safety
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a wider site team
  • Good communication and practical problem-solving skills
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Willingness to travel across Northumberland, Tyne and Wear, Teesside and North Yorkshire as required

  • Banksman training
  • CSCS card
  • Experience working within critical, secure or high-compliance environments
  • Existing Defence clearance, including SC or BPSS
  • Existing Justice vetting, including EL1, EL2 or CTC

Security Vetting & Clearance

A number of the client sites we support require personnel to hold appropriate security vetting or clearance before access can be granted.

Existing clearance within Defence or Justice environments would therefore be advantageous, although requirements will vary depending on the project and client site.

Approved vetting in the following areas would also be advantageous:

  • Defence – SC or BPSS
  • Justice – EL1, EL2 or CTC
