We are looking for a passionate Vocational Construction Tutor to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis.
In this role, you will deliver engaging and high-quality construction training sessions, inspiring learners with little or no prior education to develop their skills and confidence in the industry. You will create and adapt lesson plans to meet diverse learner needs, build their confidence, and prepare them for success in the construction field.
The ideal candidate will have strong construction industry experience, a passion for teaching and mentoring, and the ability to motivate and engage learners from all backgrounds.

Based on-site at HMP Onley, you will be working with small groups of prison-based learners to develop their skills, knowledge, and behaviours while supporting them with their long-term goals and aspirations within the construction industry.
Teaching qualifications are desirable, but we welcome candidates willing to work towards one. If you are ready for a rewarding role that makes a real difference, apply now and join our team.
What we are looking for
- Level 2/3 Vocational qualification within the construction industry is essential
- GCSE or Functional Skills Level 2 in maths and English
- An expert in your field with substantial vocational experience
- A teaching or assessing qualification and experience of delivering vocational-based training is desirable
- Ability to display a wide range of training methods to engage learners
