Multi Trade Operative – Commercial Maintenance

Engagement: PAYE or self-employed, with an agreed rate.
Travel and accommodation: Travel paid; hotels and accommodation covered when required
About us
Trades UK 247 provides reactive maintenance, emergency repairs, planned works, refurbishments and fit-out services across the UK. We work with clients in hospitality, leisure, retail and commercial property, delivering a reliable service from the first callout through to completion.
The role
We’re looking for an experienced Multi Trade Operative to carry out maintenance and repair work across a range of commercial sites. You’ll attend reactive callouts, complete planned works and support larger refurbishment and fit-out projects.

The work may include carpentry, plumbing, decorating, flooring and general building repairs. You’ll assess issues on site, identify practical solutions, complete work safely and to a high standard, and keep clients and our operations team updated.
You’ll also be responsible for completing clear job reports, including photographs where required, and leaving each site clean and tidy.
What we’re looking for
- Strong practical skills across several building and maintenance trades
- Experience with reactive repairs and planned works, ideally in commercial or multi-site environments
- The ability to diagnose problems and work independently
- Good communication and clear job reporting
- Understanding of health and safety on site
- A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel where required.

Relevant trade qualifications or equivalent hands-on experience are welcome. Experience in hospitality, leisure or retail maintenance would be an advantage. Electrical work must only be undertaken where you hold the appropriate qualifications and competence.
We’re open to employing the right person on either a PAYE or self-employed basis, with the rate agreed in advance. Paid travel and accommodation will be provided where required.
