Multi Trade Operative

Our client believes great projects are delivered by great people working together.

Our client is a design, build and facilities management business delivering construction, refurbishment and reactive maintenance projects across the leisure, hospitality, commercial and public sectors.

Their reputation has been built on delivering quality work, building trusted client relationships and following through on their promises.

As their business continues to evolve, they are focused on creating an environment where people understand what's expected, work together effectively and take pride in delivering excellent results. They set high standards, support one another to succeed and believe everyone has a role to play in delivering an exceptional experience for their clients.

The Role

They are currently seeking an experienced Multi Trade Operative to join their facilities management team.

As a Multi Trade Operative, you will be the face of their company, using your wide range of skills to tackle different repair and maintenance jobs in the hospitality and social housing sectors.

Working closely with colleagues, clients and their supply chain, you'll be responsible for keeping their clients' buildings safe, running smoothly, and looking great.

No two days are the same, so you'll need to be organised, adaptable and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

The Location

Although the position is based at our client’s office in Nottingham, the role will be site based, taking their teams across the East Midlands and Yorkshire regions.

What You'll Be Responsible For:

  • Fixing and Repairing: Responding to daily maintenance requests to fix building issues quickly and safely.
  • Using Multiple Trades: Carrying out day-to-day repairs including carpentry (fixing doors and locks), basic plumbing (unblocking drains and repairing leaks), patch plastering, tiling, and touch-up painting.
  • Planning Ahead: Completing routine safety checks and planned maintenance tasks to stop problems before they happen.
  • Staying Connected: Using a company smartphone to receive your daily jobs, update progress, and log parts used.
  • Being Professional: Being polite with building occupants and clients, keeping them updated on your progress and leaving your work area clean and tidy.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
