Job title: Multi Trader (Social Housing)
Location: Hastings (Covering Hastings, Bexhill, Pevensey Bay, Penhurst, Battle, Brede and Rye)
Salary: £38,000 - £40,660 per annum + Company Van & Fuel Card
Permanent Position
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Multi Trader to join a well-established social housing contractor covering the Hastings area.
This is a permanent opportunity for a skilled Multi Trader with experience carrying out repairs and maintenance within occupied and void social housing properties. Due to the location of the works, candidates must live within approximately 10-15 miles of Hastings town centre.
The role offers a varied workload across reactive and planned maintenance, carrying out a range of day-to-day repairs within residential properties. We are looking for candidates with a strong core trade and experience across a variety of maintenance disciplines.

Key Responsibilities:
- Carrying out day-to-day repairs and maintenance within social housing properties
- Working on both occupied and void properties
- Basic carpentry including door repairs, skirting, architraves, and kitchen adjustments
- Basic plumbing repairs including taps, toilets, and pipework
- Patch plastering and making good
- Minor tiling repairs and replacements
- Painting and decorating where required
- Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard and within agreed timescales
- Accurately updating jobs and completing reports using a PDA system
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Multi Trader within the social housing or property maintenance sector
- Experience working in occupied and void properties
- Good all-round knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, plastering, and general maintenance
- Previous experience using a PDA or handheld device to manage workloads
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Must live within 10-15 miles of Hastings town centre due to the location of the works
