We are looking for a Multimedia Specialist to work for a World leading Investment bank located in Birmingham City Centre on a 12 month contract.

You will be a Multimedia Specialist with strong skills in Multimedia, Research, Publishing, Editorial, Audio, Video, Adobe, Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Editing, Edits, MP3, MP4, Content and Portals. A financial Services or Banking background is a nice to have but not essential.

Our client delivers value-added research to clients in the equity, fixed income, currency and commodities markets. They develop global client-focused research in economics, portfolio strategy, derivatives and equity. Our clients use these insights and investment ideas to develop their strategies.

The team produces original, fundamental research and analysis of industries, companies and economies. The research teams continually identify and analyse financial information, strategic issues and trends that affect companies, industries and markets on a regional and global scale.

Role overview:

The Research Multimedia and Publishing Specialist will work with the Managing Editor for Global Investment Research on a global team that supports the department’s digital content strategy. The job offers the opportunity to work at the cutting edge of how sell-side research is presented to clients. This position is based in our Birmingham office.

Core Job Responsibilities:

  • Edit audio and video content for posting to the client Research portal, including trimming recordings, overlaying introductory tracks or slides, stitching multiple files, and exporting multimedia for publication
  • Coordinate with Research analysts on necessary edits and approvals
  • Partner with supervisory analysts to publish multimedia content
  • Curate multimedia content after publication to ensure it appears across appropriate pages of the Research portal and mobile app
  • Assemble multimedia “push products” like a weekly recap of events and replays
  • Coordinate replay strategies for flagship events like annual conferences

As time permits, the Research Multimedia and Publishing Specialist will also help curate the broader Research client portal. This includes:

  • Using editorial judgment to assign scores to reports that control in what order content shows on the portal; act quickly to curate high-profile pieces and ensure they are showing in top spots across platforms
  • Organizing, ranking and tagging of research across subject areas, and creating collections, pages and channels of related work
  • Creation of digital elements (theme pages, standalone website features, etc.) that draw connections between related work across disciplines and sectors to illuminate key themes and ideas
  • Working with designers on information graphics, promotion assets, slideshows, interactive exhibits and other alternative ways of presenting and displaying information
  • Building and maintaining libraries of editorial and design assets, including glossaries, style guides, summaries, descriptions and investment theses
  • The creation and maintenance of layout templates for frequently used pages, exhibits and report styles

Basic Qualifications:

  • Strong analytical and organisational skills
  • Ability to work under deadline pressures in managing a daily editorial flow
  • Ability to multitask while maintaining attention to detail and appropriate risk sensitivity
  • Relationship skills to work across disciplines and help subject matter experts
  • Ownership and follow-through on projects to completion
  • Experience and familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Audition, Premiere Pro and Photoshop
  • Experience in the use of CMS tools (experience with Adobe Experience Manager is a plus)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Financial markets knowledge and experience
  • Familiarity with basic HTML and CSS

The role is a 12 month contract, based 5 days per week, 9 hours per day in the Birmingham office and paying up to £365 per day / £40 per hour (umbrella rate/Inside IR35)
