About the Role

As a Multiplatform Producer in CGTN Europe’s Output team, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality journalism to a global audience across TV and digital platforms. The team produces flagship news programmes including The World Today and Global Business Europe, as well as leading on special coverage, original segments, and major event programming.

In this role, you will take ownership of news stories from pitch to publication, working closely with Executive Producers and Line Producers to shape coverage and bring ideas to life. Key Responsibilities

  • Pitch, write, and produce stories and features for broadcast and digital platforms
  • Take ownership of content from idea through to delivery, working closely with Executive Producers, News Editors, Line Producers, and production teams
  • Demonstrate strong editorial judgement, with the ability to explain complex business, economic, and geopolitical stories clearly and accessibly
  • Edit video and work confidently with newsroom systems and rundowns
  • Produce accurate, well-written copy, ensuring all content meets editorial standards and deadlines
  • Monitor news developments and respond quickly to breaking stories
  • Create and adapt content for digital and social platforms, using the latest tools and formats
  • Support the Output team across a range of editorial functions, with flexibility to take on additional responsibilities as required in line with business needs
  • Be able to work irregular hours and an extended schedule as the news cycle demands
  • Contribute positively within a diverse, international newsroom environment

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
