Join our mission to inspire and empower young people, making a lasting impact on their lives.
At Pivot we believe learners deserve better. We are a specialist independent provision with sites in Kirklees, Wakefield, Bradford and Leeds. In our academies we teach and support learners from Key Stages 1 – 5 who have been excluded from school or those with an EHCP who require a specialist placement. Every day our teams do incredible work, making a huge difference to the lives of complex and challenging learners.
At Pivot Kirklees, our young people are the focus of everything we do, and we pride ourselves on creating a caring, happy and nurturing environment for them to learn, thrive and flourish. We have a variety of offers across Pivot Academy Kirklees, including, educational and therapeutic support for learners who have complex sensory, communication and executive function challenges who may be supported by an EHCP, our Pivot Outreach Programme (POP) which re-engages learners with social, emotional and mental health needs who may have been out of education for some time, and our specialist primary provision, designed to support young learners with special educational needs. In addition, we offer a day 6 provision offering specialist support for KS3 & 4 learners who have been permanently excluded from mainstream school.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
