About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and reliable Multiskilled Climbing PPM Engineer to join our team, supporting the maintenance and operation of telecoms infrastructure across our network. This is a hands-on role working outdoors on a variety of sites, where no two days are the same. You will be responsible for carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM), inspections, fabric repairs, and minor works on telecoms equipment and site infrastructure, often working at height.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform planned preventative maintenance on telecoms sites
- Climb structures and safely work at height
- Inspect, maintain, and repair telecoms equipment
- Carry out general fabric repairs, including:
- Locks and access systems
- Fencing and perimeter security
- Cabin repairs
- Doors, hinges, and closures
- Minor structural repairs
- Work collaboratively as part of a team to deliver work efficiently
- Participate in an on-call rota to support operational needs
- Ensure all work is carried out in line with health and safety regulations
- Maintain accurate records and reports of work completed
What We’re Looking For

- Comfortable working at height – a head for heights is essential
- Strong team player with good communication skills
- Willingness to join an on-call rota
- Engineer-minded with a practical and problem-solving approach
- Ability to work independently and use initiative
- Must be able to pass a medical assessment
- Enjoy working outdoors in all weather conditions
- Flexibility to stay away from home occasionally when required
Desirable Skills & Experience
- Previous telecoms or infrastructure maintenance experience
- Climbing or working-at-height certifications (e.g. RF Awareness, Tower Rescue, etc.)
- Mechanical background
- Experience in site fabric maintenance or general building repairs
- Full UK driving licence
