THE OPPORTUNITY

As the Site Multiskilled Engineer, you will be responsible for the daily electrical duties of the site ensuring that compliance is met set out by the Site Engineering Manager. This will include EICR works, small power reactive investigations and other daily tasks. You will report to the Site Engineering Manager (SEM) who oversees all site and automaton engineering, key stakeholders, including, Site General Manager (GM), OPS Managers & Site Health, Safety and Wellbeing (HSW) Manager.

Our operations in Thatcham are looking for candidates who can commit to a any 5 from 7 shift pattern, working 37.5 hours per week.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING?

Your Key Accountabilities Will Include

  • Responsible for electrically maintaining the facilities of the site
  • Electrical Test and Inspection
  • Ensuring work is carried out in accordance with the required schedule and manufacturer guidelines. Moreover, you will be responsible for carrying out all breakdowns and reactive works safely to high standards and within the given time frame.
  • You should also possess a keen eye for detail and ensure that all work is accurately documented. Additionally, you’ll demonstrate good diagnostic and fault-finding skills ensuring first-time fix.
  • Hold an NVQ Level 3 in a relevant field or equivalent and possess good knowledge of general engineering principles.
  • Understanding of Refrigeration Systems.
  • Essential to the role: Electrically qualified - hold a 2365 qualification or equivalent.
  • Carry out reactive and proactive repairs and improvement work across the site, plant and equipment.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR?

Your Skills And Experience Will Include

  • Recognised electrical qualification (NVQ/BTEC/GNVQ)
  • Multi-skilled maintenance professional with experience supporting facilities, engineering, or operational environments
  • Comfortable carrying out both electrical and general maintenance tasks to ensure sites remain safe, compliant, and operational
  • Proven experience in facilities maintenance, building services, or engineering, with the flexibility to respond to a variety of maintenance and repair requirements
