Multiskilled Engineer

An educational facility is currently seeking a Multiskilled Engineer to join their estate department on a permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, maintaining and supporting the building services that keep the campus safe, compliant, and fully operational.

£36,000 - £37,400 per annum + excellent benefits + On Cal. 37 hours per week.

Job Duties

  • Perform planned preventative maintenance and reactive repairs on HVAC, mechanical, plumbing, and ventilation systems
  • Diagnose faults and carry out repairs using technical expertise
  • Use Planon CAFM system and Building Management Systems to record and monitor work
  • Interpret building drawings and understand basic BMS/control systems
  • Collaborate with colleagues and assist contractors
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
  • Participate in an out-of-hours on-call rota
  • Support small projects and installations

Job Requirements

  • Recognised qualifications or strong experience in HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, Joinery, or related trades
  • Experience in facilities management or maintenance environments
  • Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
  • Good communication and customer service skills
  • Flexible, proactive, and able to work independently or in a team
  • Familiarity with CAFM systems and BMS - Desirable
  • Experience supervising contractors or supporting projects - Desirable
  • Experience working in educational, healthcare, or large-site environments - Desirable
