Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer
South Wales

Yolk Recruitment is supporting an established manufacturing business in the search for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join their maintenance team working on a 2-shift pattern. This opportunity offers the chance to join a busy production environment where reliability and continuous improvement are key.
In this role, you will:
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance across manufacturing and production equipment.
- Respond to breakdowns, diagnose faults, and restore equipment efficiently.
- Maintain and repair a wide range of electrical and mechanical systems.
- Fault find on PLC-controlled systems and automated machinery.
- Work with hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Assist with machinery improvements, installations, and commissioning projects.
- Drive improvements in equipment reliability and production performance.
- Complete maintenance records and engineering documentation accurately.
- Work closely with production teams to minimise downtime and maximise efficiency.
- Ensure all work is completed in line with health and safety standards.

What You'll Bring:
- Time-served Maintenance Engineer with either an electrical bias or strong multi-skilled capability.
- Experience within manufacturing, heavy industry, automotive, FMCG, or similar industrial environments.
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills across electrical and mechanical systems.
- Experience working with drives, inverters, control systems, and PLCs.
- Understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Ability to work independently whilst contributing effectively within a maintenance team.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.

Working Hours:
- Current 2-shift pattern:
- Early Shift: 06:00 - 14:00
- Late Shift: Rotating afternoon shift
- There is potential for the site to introduce a 3-shift pattern in the future, including night shifts, attracting an enhanced shift premium.
