About

We're looking for an experienced multi-skilled engineer to join a high-performing food manufacturing site and play a key role in maintaining and optimising production performance. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer with experience in FMCG, food, or packaging to get into a business who invest in the team, the site, and you.

You'll lead a small on-shift engineering team, drive reliability, support continuous improvement, and ensure equipment uptime across fast-paced FMCG lines.

Responsibilities

  • Working alongside a team of 3 per shift
  • Reactive and preventative maintenance
  • Supporting planned, reactive, and preventative maintenance across production assets
  • Ensuring full compliance with site H and S procedures (permits, RAMS, audits)
  • Working with automation, packaging, and processing equipment (conveyors, robotics, weighing, vision systems, thermoformers, etc.)
  • Working closely with senior engineering leadership to improve performance, downtime, and reliability
  • Supporting training, skills gap development, and contractor management
  • Balancing hands-on and hands-off duties depending on operational needs

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
