Job Title: Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer

Location: John Street, Brighton, BN88

Pay Rate: £15.00 per hour (PAYE)

Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00 – 17:00 (45 hours per week)

Contract: Temporary Assignment – 16 March 2026 to 9 May 2026

Overtime: Paid at x1.5 and x2 where applicable

A temporary opportunity has arisen for a Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer to support general building maintenance operations at a major corporate site in Brighton. This role will suit an experienced engineer with a broad background in facilities or building services maintenance.

The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out a variety of planned and reactive maintenance tasks to ensure the site remains safe, functional, and compliant.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out general building maintenance and repair tasks across the site
  • Respond to reactive maintenance issues in a timely and professional manner
  • Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance
  • Support electrical, mechanical, and fabric maintenance works where required
  • Ensure all work is completed in line with health and safety procedures
  • Maintain accurate records of works completed and report any issues to site management

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Previous experience working as a Multiskilled or Building Maintenance Engineer
  • Experience in general facilities or building services maintenance
  • Ability to carry out basic electrical, mechanical, and fabric repairs
  • Strong understanding of health and safety procedures
  • Reliable with good communication skills

Assignment Details

  • Temporary contract providing additional engineering support

  • Based at a major corporate office site in Brighton
  • Overtime opportunities available depending on operational requirements
