A global chemical manufacturer producing specialist silicates, silicas, and zeolites is looking to appoint a Multiskilled Maintenance Technician to join its operations team in Warrington.
Salary and Benefits
- Annual Salary of £56,077
- Plus on-call allowance (once trained) of £8,446
- Inclusive of 160 Banked Hours

Shift Pattern
- Days based, with Call-Out Rota
- Monday to Friday, 8am - 4pm (30-minute lunch break)

The Role of Multiskilled Maintenance Technician
The successful Multiskilled Maintenance Technician will play a key role in the upkeep of plant equipment, infrastructure, and site reliability through planned, preventative, and reactive activities across both Mechanical and EC&I disciplines.

Key Responsibilities of the Multiskilled Maintenance Technician
- Deliver planned and reactive engineering support across mechanical, electrical, control, and instrumentation systems
- Fault find and diagnose issues across complex process plant equipment
- Support plant reliability, minimize downtime, and maximize operational availability
- Carry out engineering activities in line with SAP PM schedules
- Support commissioning, plant modifications, and improvement projects
- Maintain compliance with HSE procedures, permits, and isolation standards
- Work closely with stakeholders within various operations teams, colleagues, and contractors alike
- Update engineering records and work orders within SAP CMMS systems
- Participate in the site on-call rota
The Ideal Candidate Will Have

- Recognised apprenticeship or equivalent qualifications (e.g., HNC/HND in a related Eng discipline)
- Multi-skilled experience across Mechanical and EC&I disciplines
- Experience within chemical, manufacturing, or process industries
- Strong knowledge of pumps, motors, drives, instrumentation, and control systems
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical, electrical, and control drawings
- Experience using SAP PM or similar engineering management systems
- Excellent fault-finding, problem-solving, and organizational skills
