Multi-Skilled Maintenance Operative (Plumber / Carpenter bias)
Using a company van to travel from your home to our pubs and restaurants in the Wembley area.

Looking for a better work life balance? No evening or weekend work is required in this role, nor is there an on-call rota – life is for living after all! Flexible working hours are also available, enabling you to fit work around your personal commitments…

Please note: we are looking for someone who lives in Wembley (or within 10 miles) to apply. You would not be selected for interview if you live too far away from this destination.

The Opportunity – Multi-Skilled Maintenance Operative (Plumber / Carpenter bias)

Working Independently As a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Operative, You’ll Use a Company Van To Travel To Pubs And Restaurants In The Area Of Wembley. (you’ll Be Allocated Approximately 40 Sites To Look After), To Deliver General Maintenance Works. This Will Include

  • Basic cold-water plumbing, including fixing toilet flushes and leaking pipes
  • Woodwork and joinery
  • Painting and decorating
  • Floor and wall tiling
  • Pest proofing
  • Occasional larger works such as fence replacements, fitting of replacement kitchens and bathrooms

You’ll manage the ordering of parts, your van stock, and your own workload – logging all jobs on the IT system (training provided). You’ll use your great people skills to build relationships with Area and General Managers, to ensure they know how to get the best out of the service you provide.

What you’ll need to bring to this Multi-Skilled Maintenance Operative role…

  • Proven experience in either a multi-skilled trade role including experience of plumbing and / or joinery, or with one relevant main trade e.g., plumbing, joinery, carpentry, etc.
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Flexible approach to tasks
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer service focus
  • Ability to work on own initiative and make decisions
  • Ability to work to tight timescales

Although not essential, experience delivering maintenance works to multi-unit retail sites, or successful self-employment would be advantageous.
