We are seeking an experienced Murex Capability Lead to build, grow and lead our Murex capability across the Financial Services & Banking business unit.
The successful candidate will act as the senior Murex subject matter expert for the business, supporting client engagement, solution shaping, delivery oversight, consultant capability building and commercial growth. This role will combine Murex delivery leadership, solution governance, pre-sales, practice development and client-facing advisory.
The role is suited to a senior Murex professional who can operate above individual delivery assignments and help build a scalable Murex practice across banks, capital markets firms, asset managers and financial technology clients. This will include supporting new client acquisition, expanding existing client relationships, shaping Murex proposals, assessing delivery requirements, mentoring consultants and ensuring high-quality delivery across Murex engagements.
Requirements
- Strong experience in Murex consulting, delivery, solution architecture, programme delivery or capability leadership within banking, capital markets or financial services.
- Deep understanding of Murex MX.3, front-to-back trade lifecycle, capital markets processes and Murex implementation / support models.
- Hands-on or leadership experience across multiple Murex areas such as Front Office, Back Office, Risk, MxML, Datamart, Market Data, Integration, Environment Management, Accounting, Collateral, Reporting or Production Support.
- Experience leading or supporting Murex implementations, upgrades, migrations, managed services, production support models or transformation programmes.
- Ability to shape Murex solutions across business, functional and technical workstreams.
- Strong client-facing experience, with the ability to engage senior stakeholders across Technology, Operations, Risk, Front Office, Finance, Procurement and Transformation.
- Experience supporting pre-sales, proposals, RFPs, client presentations, solution design, pricing input and statement of work creation.
- Ability to assess client requirements and translate them into clear delivery models, resourcing plans and commercial proposals.
- Experience building, managing or mentoring Murex consultants, business analysts, developers, architects, project managers or support teams.
- Strong understanding of the Murex consulting market, including competitor landscape, delivery models, rate structures, capability gaps and client demand.
- Ability to support business development activity by identifying opportunities, expanding client relationships and shaping Murex-led consulting propositions.
- Strong delivery governance experience, including RAID management, quality assurance, stakeholder reporting, delivery assurance and escalation management.
- Ability to define reusable Murex delivery frameworks, accelerators, capability collateral, interview frameworks and consultant assessment criteria.
- Excellent communication, leadership, stakeholder management and commercial judgement.

- Lead the development of the Murex capability within the Financial Services & Banking business unit.
- Act as the senior internal Murex SME for client opportunities, delivery discussions, candidate assessment and solution shaping.
- Support business development teams in identifying and converting Murex opportunities across banks, capital markets firms, asset managers and financial services clients.
- Lead or support client conversations covering Murex implementation, upgrade, migration, production support, managed services, integration, reporting, risk, environment management and functional consulting.
- Shape Murex proposals, solution outlines, commercial models, delivery plans and statements of work.
- Support RFP and RFI responses, including technical content, delivery approach, resourcing model, assumptions, risks and pricing inputs.
- Work with account teams to expand existing client relationships and identify new Murex demand across client organisations.
- Define and maintain a clear Murex capability roadmap, covering target skills, hiring priorities, delivery capacity, market positioning and growth opportunities.
- Build and maintain a network of Murex consultants, architects, developers, business analysts, project managers and support specialists.
- Support hiring and assessment of Murex talent through technical screening, interview design, profile validation and capability mapping.
- Mentor internal Murex consultants and support development plans across functional, technical and delivery skillsets.
- Provide delivery oversight across active Murex engagements, ensuring quality, consistency, risk management and client satisfaction.
- Review project delivery approaches and provide guidance on Murex architecture, workstream structure, governance, testing, cutover, support and operating model design.
- Identify delivery risks, skill gaps, dependency issues and client concerns, escalating with practical recommendations.
- Develop reusable Murex collateral, including capability decks, case studies, role profiles, delivery frameworks, interview guides and solution templates.
- Partner with recruitment, sales, delivery, architecture and leadership teams to ensure the business can respond quickly to Murex demand.
- Track market trends across Murex, Calypso, Numerix, trading platforms, risk systems, post-trade transformation, cloud, SaaS and managed services.
- Support strategic partnerships and vendor relationships where relevant.
- Represent the business externally in Murex-related client discussions, networking activity and market engagement.
- Contribute to revenue growth, margin performance, client expansion and long-term positioning of the Murex capability.
